| Program Overview |
| |
Ivy League Tutor is an online Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provider that recruits and trains talented educators, in order to deliver a premium tutorial service directly to a student’s home via a computer and limited Internet access.
Once a parent has signed on with our program, a completely FREE, easy-to use laptop computer with Internet access is sent to the home. This will enable the child to log onto their personalized, Ivy League Tutor program and study at his/her own pace. One of our highly educated tutors will be available during specified times, at another location, to answer questions and provide further explanations.
During the regular school year, our program runs for four months—two sessions (each 90 minutes long) per week, for a total of 32 hours. During the summer, our program consists of three 90-minute sessions per week, for eight weeks.
To provide maximum student achievement gains, programs run for the most hours permitted according to each school district’s per-pupil allocations and contracting requirements. We increase or decrease program length to accommodate various funding allowances.

Academic Assessment Test |
| |
Before tutoring begins, an Academic Assessment Test (AAT) will measure the student’s understanding of the subject matter—and English in general if comprehension is a problem—and will assess his/her strengths and weaknesses. It helps identify any gaps in education, while pinpointing the learning activities that need to be emphasized. This test, taken at home and using the computer and Internet access we provide, requires only about an hour. It takes into account your child’s age and grade level, national academic standards and other relevant factors. |

|
Individualized Learning Plans |
| |
| An individualized learning plan (ILP), based on the AAT, will maximize the effectiveness of our tutoring, by concentrating on areas that need improvement and not wasting time on areas that don’t. Instead of the traditional “off-the-rack, one-size-fits-all” classroom approach, Ivy League Tutor is more like a custom tailor who takes into account your child’s individual characteristics— his/her specific learning needs. By carefully following the ILP, our tutor will be able to guide your child correctly and successfully. |

Progress Reports |
| |
At any time, by going online, students will be able to receive valuable written feedback that tracks and measures their progress. Also, both you and your school’s Academic Coach will regularly receive Progress Reports that include grades for your child’s activities, so that increased emphasis can be given specific areas if needed. |
